Born on July 22, 1956 in Dearborn, Michigan, Scott Sanderson (Scott Douglas Sanderson) played for the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, California Angels and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 19 year career. Sanderson broke into the bigs on August 6, 1978 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 2.51 ERA in 61 innings pitched in 1978, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Scott Sanderson's best season was 1991, when he posted a 3.81 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 130 batters.
