Scott Olsen--Official Spokesman for the Terminally Stupid

Suspended for two games by his own team for insubordination. Whatever that means. They didn't even make him miss a start. Couldn't have been all that serious. Even so, ol' Scotty was already having himself a rough week when he goes and gets drunk, doesn't pull over when the cops nail him, and then fight with and kick the cops when they try to arrest him. Wow, things can't get a whole lot worse on the Terminally Stupid scale. But I have a seriously limited amount of sympathy for him even if he is a young kid still trying to figure his life out. C'mon. He's a major league pitcher making over $350k a year. And a pretty good one at that. Life can't be that bad, can it?

At this point in the world of sports, the Terminally Stupid could have spokesmen by committee. But I agree with Meg, if Olsen's the spokesman, Vick is the Chairman of the Board.

Olsen is going to have get in control of his life or he won't be in majors very long. Am surprised he is in third year and still making major league minimum salary. He has better record than Dontrelle Willis with 8-7 record. If he continues to live outside the rules of baseball and society he won't be making $380,000 much longer.

I'm still not putting him on the same level of stupid as Ricky Williams, who failed to see that if he stayed in the league a few more years, he could have had the money to buy a lot more pot.
