After signing a free agent contract with the Roughriders, he was traded to the Alouettes during training camp.

He was instrumental in Anthony Calvillo’s first career 5,000-yard passing season… He signed a new contract with the Alouettes on Feb. 8.

He won his starting spot back in game #16 at Saskatchewan when Mike Sutherland suffered an injury.

He missed eight games due to pulled muscles in his lower back.

He attended training camp with the Alouettes before returning to the University of Saskatchewan, where he won the Vanier Cup.

He was selected to the CIAU 2nd All-Star Team and was rated as “the most consistent offensive lineman of the league” by the coaches of Canada West… His team won the Vanier Cup.
