Scipio Spinks

Born on July 12, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, Scipio Spinks (Scipio Ronald Spinks) played for the Houston Astros and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 5 year career. Spinks broke into the bigs on September 16, 1969 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 2.67 ERA in 118 innings pitched in 1972, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Scipio Spinks's best season was 1972, when he posted a 2.67 ERA and struck out 93 batters.
