Saville Crowther (Saville Evans Crowther) was born on July 10, 1901 in Rosemont, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Radnor (PA), Crowther attended Colgate University and Pennsylvania State University. Crowther made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Frankford Yellow Jackets. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Frankford Yellow Jackets the entire time. Crowther also played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the Philadelphia Quakers the entire time.
