Save Percentage

NHL goaltending stat that represents the percentage of shots faced that a goalie stops. Save % is a vastly better tool for goaltender evaluation that Goals Against Average, because, unlike the latter, it takes into account the number of shots that the goaltender faces. Save Percentage is calculated by:

(Shots Against - Goals Against) / (Shots Against)
