Well, the inevitable happened, Barry Bonds became the home run king, and passed Hank Aaron for most home runs ever. As stated before, it's also inevitable that Alex Rodriguez will surpass Bonds for that very title as well. But, instead of talking about what already seems to be old news. The English Premier League also just kicked off, news coming out of there is all about old England manager Sven Goran Erickson winning his first EPL match as he led his club, Manchester City to a 2 -0 win over West Ham. The highlight for me of course was Stevie G's late game heroics to seal a solid 3 points over Aston Villa in their opener. Villa tied up the match late into it with a Gareth Barry penalty at the 85th minute. But Gerrard had the final say with a free kick that found mesh on the 87th minute.

I think you may getting ahead of yourself. I agree that A-Rod will probably surpass Bonds, but it's absurdly early to say that this is "inevitable". A-Rod just hit passed 500 HR and will likely have to hit another 280-300 HR to pass Bonds eventual mark.

Plus, no one knows what Bonds' final HR total will be.

I hope when Bonds' career is over, it'll be like Mr. 3000, where they miscount his total number of hits (home runs in this case).

I watched Liverpool-Villa yesterday. Gerrard's goal was one of the best free kicks I've seen in quite some time. Liverpool look like they will a very dangerous side this year.
