The Saskatchewan Roughriders started their number three pivot last night against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Ivor Wynne Stadium. The crowd, of 26,564, in Hamilton were very hostile as their team failed to score a touchdown at home for the third straight game.

Rocky Butler got the nod to start, as #1 Kerry Joseph is still out with a knee injury and #2 Marcus Crandell is out with a dislocated elbow. He made the most of his playing time, scoring one touchdown on three-yard run and throwing for three more (touchdowns). In this, he gave his team their seventh straight victory over the Tabbies, starting in 2003.

In all, five different Green Riders scored a touchdown on the night. Matt Dominguez had two catches for majors, Imrahim Tounkara caught one, Butler and Shermar Bracey each ran for one. and defensive end Fred Perry scored on an 11-yard fumble return.

Luca Congi kicked a 34-yard and a 10-yard field goal to extend his field goal kicking streak to 20 straight.

Even Darian Durant got to play. He replaced Butler with seven minutes left in the game.

Hamilton scored on two punt singles by Pat Fleming and three conceded safeties.

Final stat leaders Saskatchewan. Rocky Butler was 15 of 24 for 191 yards and 3 touchdowns with 0 picks. Kenton Kieth had 11 rushes for 71 yards and 0 touchdowns. Matt Dominguez had 6 receptions for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns. Luca Congi was 2/2 on field goals and 6/6 on extra points.
