Here it is Sunday and the game on CBS is the "hometown" Chargers playing the Chiefs in Arrowhead. My sister and brother in law may be in the stands, along with people I went to high school with. Considering that it is a relatively small city, Kansas City is a great sports town and A Arrowhead stadium, with it's massive parking lots around it has great tailgate action both before and after the games. In December the weather is really dicey. It can be fifty degrees and sunny or thirty degrees colder with swirling snow. Today it seems somewhere in the middle. This makes it difficult for teams like the Chargers or Dolphins who go to play there.
Today it is cold and sunny and a great game is shaping up. Both teams had great pass plays for touchdowns. Unless the Chiefs manage to score in the last 1:10, they will go to the half at 10-10.
Norv Turner seems more like an accountant than a coach and you wonder what kind of a motivational talk he could do. If the Chargers lose, though, they will be 6-6 with the Chiefs 5-7. They will have lost both games to the Chiefs and face tough games against Tennessee and Oakland and play the Broncos at home. Can you say "8-8" and watching the playoffs on Direct TV?
