Sammy Vacanti

Sammy Vacanti (Samuel F. Vacanti) was born on March 20, 1922 in Omaha, Nebraska. After going to high school at Tech (Omaha, NE), Vacanti attended Purdue University, the University of Iowa and the University of Nebraska. Vacanti made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the Chicago Rockets. He played for the Chicago Rockets and Baltimore Colts over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1947 was Sammy Vacanti's best year, as he tossed 16 TDs.
