Sammy Stein (Samuel Stein) was born on April 1, 1905 in New York, New York. Stein attended none. Stein made his professional debut in the AFLG in 1926 with the Newark Bears. He played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the Newark Bears the entire time. Stein also played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Staten Island Stapletons, Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants over the course of his 4 year NFL career.
