Sammy Meeks (Samuel Mack Meeks) was born on April 23, 1923 in Anderson, South Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 29, 1948 for the Washington Senators. Meeks played for the Washington Senators and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career.
