Sam Vico (George Steve Vico) was born on August 9, 1923 in San Fernando, California. He made his Major League debut on April 20, 1948 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1948, his rookie year, he hit .267 with 8 home runs and 58 RBI. Vico played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 2 year career.
