Sam Tamburo (Samuel J. Tamburo) was born on July 1, 1926 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Tamburo attended Pennsylvania State University. Tamburo made his professional debut in the NFL in 1949 with the New York Bulldogs. He played for the New York Bulldogs for his entire 1 year career.
