Sam Hunt (Samuel Kay Hunt) was born on August 6, 1951 in Longview, Texas. After going to high school at White Oak (TX), Hunt attended Stephen F. Austin State University. Hunt made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1976 was Sam Hunt's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
