Sam Harrell (Samuel Delmar Harrell, Jr.) was born on February 7, 1957 in Harrellsville, North Carolina. After going to high school at Ahoskie (NC), Harrell attended East Carolina University. Harrell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1987 was Sam Harrell's best year.
