Sam Francis

Sam Francis (Harrison F. Francis) was born on October 26, 1913 in Lincoln, Nebraska. After going to high school at Decatur County (Oberlin, KS), Francis attended the University of Nebraska. Francis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears, Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1938 was Sam Francis's best year.
