Sam Ewing

Sam Ewing (Samuel James Ewing) was born on April 9, 1949 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on September 11, 1973 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1977, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 4 home runs and 34 RBI. Ewing played for the Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Sam Ewing's best season was 1977, when he hit for a .287 average.
