Born on March 31, 1904 in Oakford, Illinois, Sam Dailey (Samuel Lawrence Dailey) played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 1 year career. Dailey broke into the bigs on July 4, 1929 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 7.54 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched in 1929, his rookie year.
