Sam Covington (Clarence Calvert Covington) was born on November 18, 1894 in Denison, Texas. He made his Major League debut on August 25, 1913 for the St. Louis Browns. Covington played for the St. Louis Browns and Boston Braves over the course of his 2 year career.
