Sam Ball (Sam Davis Ball) was born on June 7, 1944 in Henderson, Kentucky. After going to high school at Henderson County (Henderson, KY), Ball attended the University of Kentucky. Ball made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts for his entire 5 year career.
