Saints sign ex-Vikings back Bennett, two others

The New Orleans Saints signed former Minnesota Vikings running back Michael Bennett to a two-year contract. While with Minnesota, Bennett set the team record for the longest scoring run with an 85-yard rush against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints also signed linebacker Anthony Simmons from the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks and safety Omar Stoutmire from the Washington Redskins. They also released guard Kendyl Jacox.
