Born on March 15, 1885 in Ironia, New Jersey, Sailor Stroud (Ralph Vivian Stroud) played for the Detroit Tigers and New York Giants over the course of his 3 year career. Stroud broke into the bigs on April 29, 1910 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 3.25 ERA in 130.1 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.
