Sabres: NHL Free Agency Fallout

Two days of nearly non-stop hockey talk can make anyone full. Very full. After all, I'm a fan and I want to sort through my own feelings on what has transpired over the last 48 hours. So yesterday I decided to digest all of the comments and fallout from the departure of Daniel Briere and Chris Drury and write today.

Monday was a dark day for Buffalo, because the storm clouds haven't quite wandered off yet. From the headline of the Buffalo News' Sports Section "They're History" to the press conference by the Sabres management...for a day, Buffalo was in the limelight for the wrong reason. On many blogs and hockey forums, I consistently read how teams were very sad for the Sabres. I was sad for the Sabres management. Not because they won't get the job done, but because they screwed up this time...big time.
