SS - Jimmy Rollins or Jose Reyes

Ok, boys and girls, who would you rather want playing shortstop. Your first choice is Jimmy Rollins of the Philadelphia Phillies. Your second choice is Jose Reyes of the New York Mets.

In 2007, Jimmy Rollins is having a superior offensive year, compared to Jose Reyes. Their defense is roughly at the same level. Thus, I would choose Jimmy Rollins.

Over a career, however, I would tend to lean toward Jose Reyes. For example, last year, Reyes had an outstanding season. He was truly the Mets MVP. It just happens that Reyes took a step back this season. It happens.
