Rutgerus Johannes Martinius van Nistelrooy, (born July 1, 1976 in Oss, North Brabant) is a Dutch footballer who plays in the position of centre forward for Real Madrid and the the Dutch national team. He has previously starred for Manchester United, where he holds the record for being the club's top scorer in European competition.
