Rusty Greer (Thurman Clyde Greer) was born on January 21, 1969 in Fort Rucker, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on May 16, 1994 for the Texas Rangers. In 1994, his rookie year, he hit .314 with 10 home runs and 46 RBI. Greer played for the Texas Rangers for his entire 9 year career.

Most people believe that Rusty Greer's best season was 1997, when he slugged 26 home runs, hit for a .321 average and knocked in 87 runs.
