Russ Washington (Russell Eugene Washington) was born on December 17, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri. After going to high school at Southeast (Kansas City, MO), Washington attended the University of Missouri. Washington made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the San Diego Chargers. He played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers the entire time. Washington also played in the NFL for 13 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers the entire time.

Most people believe that 1972 was Russ Washington's best year.
