Russ Nixon

Russ Nixon (Russell Eugene Nixon) was born on February 19, 1935 in Cleves, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on April 20, 1957 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1957, his rookie year, he hit .281 with 2 home runs and 18 RBI. Nixon played for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 12 year career.
Most people believe that Russ Nixon's best season was 1958, when he hit for a .301 average.
