Russ Mosley (Russell C. Mosley) was born on July 22, 1918 in Puxico, Missouri. After going to high school at Blytheville (AR), Mosley attended the University of Alabama. Mosley made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1945 was Russ Mosley's best year.
