Russ Bailey (Russell Brooks Bailey) was born on September 3, 1899 in Weston, West Virginia. After going to high school at Weston (WV), Bailey attended West Virginia University. Bailey made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Akron Pros. He played for the Akron Pros for his entire 2 year career.
