Tommy Thompson (Rupert Lockhart Thompson) was born on May 19, 1910 in Elkhart, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1933 for the Boston Braves. In 1934, his rookie year, he hit .265 with 0 home runs and 37 RBI. Thompson played for the Boston Braves, Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 6 year career.
