Rupe Thornton

Rupe Thornton (Rupert Vance Thornton) was born on January 5, 1920 in Denver, Colorado. After going to high school at Franklin (Portland, OR), Thornton attended Santa Clara University. Thornton made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1947 was Rupe Thornton's best year.
