Runitback's 2006 NBA Draft Rankings

My draft "rankings" follow. I dont consider International players since its too difficult for me to effectively "scout" them. This is not considered to be a mock draft, but rather a projection of success.

1. Tyrus Thomas 2. Randy Foye 3. LaMarcus Alridge 4. Ronnie Brewer 5. Rajon Rondo 6. Guiellermo Diaz 7. Maurice Ager 8. Rudy Gay 9. Josh Boone 10. Rodney Carney

Morrison, Sheldon, Roy... how can you put all of them below Rondo, Diaz, Ager and Boone? Plus, Dean and Horton won't even be drafted.

This list isnt meant to be a mock draft, but rather my estimation of future success. If history is any guide, the draft order isnt necessarily a great predictor of future success. Kobe, Josh Howard, Parker, Ginobli, Arenas are all examples of players that didnt go in the lottery. I dont know why everyone thinks Brandon Roy is so special. Sheldon Williams will never be any better than a role player - can he really be any better than Shane Battier? Would anyone really take Shane Battier with the 5th overall selection in the draft? When Rajon Rondo was a freshman, he displayed incredible talent. Apparently he cant shoot. Nor can Jason Kidd...
