Rufino Linares (Rufino de la Cruz Linares) was born on February 28, 1951 in San Pedro de Macoris, Macoris (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on April 10, 1981 for the Atlanta Braves. In 1981, his rookie year, he hit .265 with 5 home runs and 25 RBI. Linares played for the Atlanta Braves and California Angels over the course of his 4 year career.
