[edit] Biography

Born on October 20, 1968 in Brawley, California, Rudy Seanez (Rudy Caballero Seanez) played for the Cleveland Indians, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals and Florida Marlins over the course of his 15 year career. Seanez broke into the bigs on September 7, 1989 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 3.35 ERA in 53.2 innings pitched in 1999, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Rudy Seanez's best season was 2005, when he posted a 2.69 ERA and struck out 84 batters.

Seanez has been around for a long time and has provided mop up innings for a lot of teams. He has only hit the 50 IP mark twice in his career. He's played for 8 different teams in 16 years and every once in a while he puts together a season that actually provides value to his team. His career year was 2005 when he appeared in 60.1 IP over 57 games and won 7, all career highs. He also posted a 2.69 ERA, a career low. When this guy retires he'll likely fade away from all our memories.
