Born on July 19, 1890 in Salineville, Ohio, Rube Marshall (Roy DeVerne Marshall) played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Buffalo Blues over the course of his 4 year career. Marshall broke into the bigs on September 28, 1912 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 3.75 ERA in 134.1 innings pitched in 1914, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Rube Marshall's best season was 1914, when he posted a 3.75 ERA.
