Born on March 26, 1884 in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, Rube Geyer (Jacob Bowman Geyer) played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 4 year career. Geyer broke into the bigs on April 24, 1910 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.27 ERA in 148.2 innings pitched in 1911, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Rube Geyer's best season was 1911, when he posted a 3.27 ERA.
