Born on March 29, 1883 in New Galilee, Pennsylvania, Rube Dessau (Frank Rolland Dessau) played for the Boston Doves and Brooklyn Superbas over the course of his 2 year career. Dessau broke into the bigs on September 22, 1907 with the Boston Doves, and put up a 5.79 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.
