Royce Goodbread (Royce Ethelbert Goodbread) was born on August 23, 1907 in Crystal River, Florida. After going to high school at St. Petersburg (FL), Goodbread attended the University of Florida. Goodbread made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Minneapolis Red Jackets. He played for the Providence Steam Roller and Minneapolis Red Jackets over the course of his 2 year career.
