Royce Berry (Royce E. Berry) was born on April 19, 1946 in Odessa, Texas. After going to high school at Odessa (TX), Berry attended the University of Houston. Berry made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals the entire time. Berry also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and Chicago Bears over the course of his 6 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1970 was Royce Berry's best year, as he recovered 4 opponents fumbles and ran back 2 fumbles for touchdowns.
