Roy Wood (Roy Winton Wood) was born on August 29, 1892 in Monticello, Arkansas. He made his Major League debut on June 16, 1913 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .236 with 1 home run and 15 RBI. Wood played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Naps and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 3 year career.
