Roy Weatherly

Roy Weatherly (Cyril Roy Weatherly) was born on February 25, 1915 in Warren, Texas. He made his Major League debut on June 27, 1936 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1936, his rookie year, he hit .335 with 8 home runs and 53 RBI. Weatherly played for the Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees and New York Giants over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that Roy Weatherly's best season was 1940, when he hit for a .303 average and knocked in 59 runs.
