Roy Sievers (Roy Edward Sievers) was born on November 18, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 21, 1949 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1949, his rookie year, he hit .306 with 16 home runs and 91 RBI. Sievers played for the St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators, Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 17 year career.

Most people believe that Roy Sievers's best season was 1957, when he slugged 42 home runs, hit for a .301 average and knocked in 114 runs.
