Born on January 25, 1907 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Roy Sherid (Royden Richard Sherid) played for the New York Yankees for his entire 3 year career. Sherid broke into the bigs on May 11, 1929 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 3.61 ERA in 154.2 innings pitched in 1929, his rookie year.
