Roy Ruskusky (LeRoy J. Ruskusky) was born on April 6, 1921 in Spring Valley, Illinois. After going to high school at Hall Township (Spring Valley, IL), Ruskusky attended St. Mary's College of California. Ruskusky made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the New York Yankees and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Roy Ruskusky's best year.
