Born on October 26, 1898 in Austin, Texas, Roy Moore (Roy Daniel Moore) played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 4 year career. Moore broke into the bigs on April 15, 1920 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 4.68 ERA in 132.2 innings pitched in 1920, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Roy Moore's best season was 1921, when he posted a 4.51 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 64 batters.
