Roy Hartsfield

Roy Hartsfield (Roy Thomas Hartsfield) was born on October 25, 1925 in Chattahoochee, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on April 28, 1950 for the Boston Braves. In 1950, his rookie year, he hit .277 with 7 home runs and 24 RBI. Hartsfield played for the Boston Braves for his entire 3 year career.
He became the first manager of the Toronto Blue Jays in 1977.
