Born on August 1, 1892 in Stafford, Kansas, Roy Sanders (Roy Garvin Sanders) played for the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 2 year career. Sanders broke into the bigs on April 16, 1917 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 2.60 ERA in 156 innings pitched in 1918, his rookie year.
