Born on July 8, 1896 in Clinton, North Carolina, Roy Crumpler (Roy Maxton Crumpler) played for the Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 2 year career. Crumpler broke into the bigs on September 16, 1920 with the Detroit Tigers.
